CAM Modalities for Pregnancy

The second day of the Pregnancy 101 course covers Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) modalities that are commonly used in pregnancy to help alleviate back pain and pelvic floor pain, improve sleep quality, and decrease stress. Breathing is a simple meditation tool in pregnancy that can help with all of these common symptoms that come with pregnancy. At the end of the PowerPoint, we will be practicing a few complementary techniques with the guidance of a trained professional in pelvic floor physical therapy, as well as myself, who is a certified Pregnancy Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES).
